She gives a preservationist action group the maintenance access schedule for the throat-side anchor shore plant — the hours it is unmanned, and which bay door is on local operation. Four minutes later two anchor chains are destroyed and a third damaged, and the Nhál basin is cut loose. She believes she is preventing a larger murder. She is not paid, not blackmailed, not stupid, and not secretly venal. She does not know the basin will be cut loose. When she learns it, it does not stop her, because the alternative is admitting the whole argument.
