About
Went for the inspection lamp on the charging rack at two o'clock on 19 March and found it gone — the observation Pais turns into the deduction that Vasey took the north trunk trench rather than the flats road. Sent by Ortiz with Pais, on the standing rule that Pais does not go down a chamber alone. Two of the seven people on her shift who could do skilled work; block six slipped to Monday because of it.

Sent by Ortiz with Pais, on the standing rule that Pais does not go down a chamber alone. Two of the seven people on her shift who could do skilled work; block six slipped to Monday because of it. Worked the top of the cut chamber shaft for the whole extraction — lid clear, line on the rail, mitts off and on ten times taking people under the arms out of a five-metre shaft, on an exposed road cut in wind.
